Meditation objects

In Tenerife, some beaches were closed because the sea was contaminated with sewage. People are disappointed because they feel deceived. Many blame the situation on the growing tourism industry. Others say the problem is widespread: it's been proven that development cannot be sustained without destroying the environment. perhaps we should consider whether the grand promise—the promise of unlimited production and development, which is the basis of society's economic organization—serves the real interests of human beings. Because what were we all promised? They were promised that production, and therefore consumption, would be unlimited. This grand promise cannot be fulfilled due to the unattainable goals of life: the pursuit of maximum enjoyment and the fulfillment of all desires, coupled with people's selfishness and greed. The development of the economic system is no longer determined by what is good for the individual, but rather by what is good for the growth of the system.
